The construction industry relies heavily on conventional insulation materials with significant environmental impacts, while millions of tons of textile waste are generated every year and are still largely landfilled or incinerated. This creates two interconnected challenges: increasing construction-related environmental impact and the loss of valuable textile resources. At the same time, architects, contractors and manufacturers need insulation solutions that can deliver reliable thermal and acoustic performance without compromising sustainability. Strade addresses this gap by transforming textile waste into high-performance, circular insulation materials designed for building applications, providing a scalable alternative to conventional insulation products while keeping valuable materials in use.

Our Solution:

Strade develops high-performance insulation materials made from recycled textile waste for building applications. Our products, including Pack-C and Gro-Z, transform post-industrial textile waste into engineered insulation panels and layers that provide thermal and acoustic performance. In practice, textile waste is collected, processed and converted into a uniform insulation material, which is then manufactured in application-specific thicknesses and densities. The products can be installed in buildings using conventional construction methods such as adhesive or mechanical fixing, depending on the application. Pack-C is designed for applications such as floors and thermal/acoustic insulation, while Gro-Z targets under-screed and other building insulation applications. This enables construction companies, architects and contractors to replace conventional insulation materials with a circular alternative while keeping textile waste in productive use.

How it works:

Strade combines circularity with high-performance building materials by transforming textile waste into engineered insulation products that can replace conventional insulation materials. Unlike many recycled-material solutions that focus primarily on waste recovery, Strade is designed around the performance requirements of construction, including thermal, acoustic and fire performance. Our materials are manufactured from textile waste streams that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated, creating a closed-loop pathway between the textile and construction industries. The solution is also designed to integrate into existing construction practices without requiring major changes.

Classification & Use Cases

Lifecycle stage(s) addressed:

Industrialized construction (modular, prefab, 3D printing, advanced materials)

Core technology types:

Advanced materials / Prefabrication / 3D printing
Recycling / Waste-to-material technology
Key use cases in practice:
StradeтАЩs recycled-textile materials are used across residential, commercial and industrial building applications. Pan-C is used as thermal and acoustic insulation in floors, walls and other building systems, offering high insulation performance while providing a circular alternative to conventional materials. Gro-Z is designed for under-screed and flooring applications, reducing impact sound transmission and improving acoustic comfort. These materials can be integrated into conventional construction workflows and specified by architects, engineers, contractors and insulation specialists. Typical applications include residential developments, offices, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, renovation projects and projects seeking sustainable or recycled-content building materials.
Strade also applies its recycled-textile material platform to acoustic and interior applications. ACP is used as an acoustic insulation layer in spaces requiring sound control and can be combined with barriers and decorative wood or textile finishes. Acoustic Panels provide sound absorption while allowing integration with interior architecture and design. Pack-C extends the platform beyond construction into reusable protective packaging, replacing conventional EPS/styrofoam solutions for fragile products and logistics. These applications demonstrate StradeтАЩs ability to convert different textile waste streams into engineered materials for multiple industries while maintaining a circular material lifecycle.
